Main quality is a service provider company focused on quality assurance for parts of finished products, in industries such as electronics and electrical circuits. Their target audience are other companies within this industry as well as electrical engineers between the ages of 25 and 45.
Main Quality reached out because they wanted to give their marketing website a new look and feel, to attract more customers and have a professional online presence.
One challenge I faced during the redesign process for the website was finding the right layout for the site, even when that meant doing a completely different layout from the original. This was also my first gig with a real client so doing the interview to get to know Main Quality line of business was crucial for the design process. To understand more about the services Main Quality offered, I did some research about quality control on electrical engineering and also had a meeting with the Main Quality CEO on the services they offer and the clients they usually work with.
After that, I did a competitive audit to understand the market, started working on different variations of the existing website. After that I did some sketches and moved on to wireframes, mock ups and finally high fidelity mock ups. Then I prototyped some of the website main interactions and conducted user testing with potential users, to validate the website was easier to understand than the previous one.
